Hey, Lykkers! We just returned from an amazing trip to Auckland, New Zealand, and we can’t wait to share our adventures with you.
The vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and friendly locals made our time in this city truly unforgettable!
Our adventure began with a visit to the iconic Sky Tower, which stands at 328 meters tall. We took the elevator up to the observation deck for breathtaking 360-degree views of the city and beyond. The entry fee is around NZD 32 for adults, and the tower is open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM, making it a perfect spot to kick off our Auckland experience. Watching the sunset from the Sky Tower was one of the highlights of our trip, as the city lights began to twinkle below us.
Next, we wandered through Auckland Domain, one of the city's oldest parks, featuring beautiful gardens and the Auckland Memorial Museum. The park is free to enter, and we spent hours exploring the lush landscapes and enjoying a picnic. The museum offers fascinating insights into New Zealand’s history and culture, with entry fees of NZD 25 for adults and free admission for children. The museum is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, so be sure to carve out some time to learn about this beautiful country’s heritage.
No trip to Auckland would be complete without a ferry ride to Waiheke Island, known for its stunning beaches and vineyards. We hopped on a ferry from the Auckland Ferry Terminal, which costs about NZD 42 for a return ticket. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the harbor, and once on the island, we rented bikes to explore the local wineries and stunning coastlines. We spent the day tasting delicious local drinks and soaking up the sun on the beautiful beaches. Ferries run regularly, so you can easily spend a day or more enjoying everything Waiheke has to offer.
