DJ is divided into two groups: pick-up and mixing and scratching. The main work of one group is continuous mix. People often refer to this group as MIX or mixing. One faction's main job is scratching. Playing discs requires some skill.

The first step is to count the beats. Many DJ tuners think this is very simple, but it is not so. When DJ tuners start to practice counting beats, they can take a relatively simple electronic dance music record as the first track and put it on the two turntables. On one of them, press the start button of the record player to make the record player start to rotate, and carefully place the stylus on the record. While playing, count the loops of the track on the left in your mind and keep looping.

The second step is to choose a song. The next job the tuners have to do is to choose a dance record that is similar to the first one to play, and master the skills of DJing from the center.

The third step is to find the cue point. The DJing skills in this step are very important. First of all, DJ mixers need to pay attention to the fact that when using monitoring headphones, only one ear can be worn, and the other ear is responsible for monitoring the currently playing track. This work has been done, and the next work to do is to grab the cue point. Many tuners who are more proficient in DT DJing skills often refer to the audio track currently being played by the speaker as CH1 and the audio track appearing in the monitor headphones as CH2 for convenience when explaining this skill.

First, switch the monitor switch (cue) on the mixing console to CH2, that is, let the music in the headphones be the song selected in the second step. Press the turntable's Start button to start the turntable, and carefully place the stylus on the record. At this time, use earphones to monitor. If there is a drum sound as soon as the stylus touches the record, it is necessary to lift the stylus and place it on the outer part of the contact point of the previous stylus, that is, to find the beginning of a song. The first drum beat, this principle is used to find the cue point.
