Hey, Lykkers! We just returned from an unforgettable trip to Grand Teton National Park, and we can’t wait to share our adventures with you.

The breathtaking landscapes and wildlife encounters made this journey truly special!

Jenny Lake: A Perfect Getaway

One of our favorite spots was Jenny Lake, a stunning glacial lake nestled at the foot of the Teton Range. We spent a whole day exploring the area, starting with a scenic boat ride across the lake, which costs about $18 per adult. Once on the other side, we hiked to Hidden Falls, where the sound of rushing water and the mist in the air felt rejuvenating. The trail to Hidden Falls is around 1 mile each way, making it accessible for most visitors. Remember, the boat runs daily from May to mid-September, so plan your visit accordingly!

The Majestic Teton Range

Of course, we couldn't miss the iconic Teton Range itself! Standing at the base of these towering peaks was nothing short of awe-inspiring. We took the Teton Crest Trail, a more challenging hike offering stunning views, especially at sunrise. This trail is about 10 miles one way and showcases the park’s majestic landscapes. For those who prefer a shorter trek, the views from the lookout at the trailhead are still phenomenal. The trail is open year-round, but summer is ideal for the best weather.

Wildlife Watching at Antelope Flats

We had an incredible wildlife encounter at Antelope Flats, where we spotted herds of animal grazing peacefully against the backdrop of the Tetons. It was surreal to watch these magnificent animals in their natural habitat. Early morning or late afternoon are the best times for wildlife watching, so we made sure to set our alarms early! Entry to the park costs $35 per vehicle for a seven-day pass, and it’s worth every penny to experience the rich biodiversity.

Practical Tips for Your Trip

If you're planning to visit, make sure to dress in layers, as the weather can change quickly. We found it helpful to bring a daypack with plenty of water and snacks, especially during our longer hikes. Also, consider visiting the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center, which has informative exhibits and maps to enhance your experience. It’s open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM, and it’s a great spot to learn more about the park before you start your adventures.

Lykkers, our trip to Grand Teton National Park was a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility. From the breathtaking views of Jenny Lake to the wildlife at Antelope Flats, every moment was a reminder of nature's beauty. We can’t recommend this destination enough—add it to your bucket list, and you won’t be disappointed! Happy travels, everyone!
