1. Kingfisher

Kingfishers have a cosmopolitan distribution, with most species found in tropical regions of Africa, Asia and Oceania, but can also be seen in Europe. They can be found in deep forests near calm ponds and small rivers. The family has 114 species, divided into three subfamilies and 19 genera. All kingfishers have large heads, long, pointed beaks, short legs and stubby tails. Most species have bright plumage with only small differences between the sexes. Most species are found in the tropics, and a few are found only in forests.

A toucan's beak looks heavy, but it's actually quite light. It is hollow, made of the protein keratin, and has thin bone rods for support. Although scientists have yet to discover the exact function of their large beak, they believe it may play an important role in courtship displays and defensive weapons.

Adult males are bright red with a black face covering extending to the top of the thighs. On the back and wings, the color becomes more dull and dull. They have a variety of functions, including allowing individuals to recognize each other, warning other predators, indicating individual emotions, keeping the flock cohesive, and serving as a warning when protecting the nest.
